Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God…1 John 3:1
His love is available to all of us. So how do we tap into His love and blessings? How do we receive His grace?
Christ did not go up to people and force them to believe, He did not go up to random people and heal them. He healed and taught to those who sought after HIm, who sought His healing. He repeated, by FAITH they have been made whole.
FAITH. What is Faith?
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen… Hebrews 11
but what does that mean?
All I can think of is Jasmin’s birth. How scared I was at the thought of a child coming out of me. scared of the pain, scared of the possibilities. Anything could go wrong. As a believer I knew these questions were coming from a person without faith.
And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Matthew 8:26
I could hear Him tell me, Ye of little faith! I knew I had to have faith, yet the fear was threatening to envelope me. I had a decision, not to fear…
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love…1 John 4:18
….not to worry about that day or about the endless possibilities…
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:34.
I chose to focus on His faithfulness and not my lack of faith…
Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23
…to remember how he has answered my prayers in the past. I chose to put my trust in the Lord. While Jasmin was being born, I knew God was there and He is always there, because I prayed
Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. Mark 9:24.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Phillippians 4:13
