Four Pregnancy Favorites are also just every day favorites, but I have been drawn to them more with this third baby.
I picked these 4 because they never fail to satisfy my hunger and tingle my taste buds, without extra unhealthy junk I tend to crave!
So here goes my 4 pregnancy favorites and how to prepare them….buen provecho!
Salads
Before you skip over these salads GIVE THEM A CHANCE! They aren’t your everyday salads, you don’t need to go out and buy a dressing and they totally hit the spot!
Tomato, cucumber, ACV
Chop up a few tomatoes, a few cucumbers, and thinly slice a bit of red onion.
Add a dash of apple cider vinegar, a couple tablespoons of olive oil.
Then season with salt, pepper, and thyme!
Super easy and so tasty! Helps with pregnancy nausea and heartburn. Plus you can make a bigger batch and it can last in the fridge up to 2-3 days.
My favorite pico de Gallo/Salsa
This you can eat as chips and dip or you can use it as a base for a few other salad favorites.
- 4 tomatoes
- Half a red onion
- One scallion
- Handful of cilantro
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- Dash of Apple cider vinegar
- For seasoning: salt, pepper, cumin, paprika, cayenne
For bean salad : just add cannellini beans
or for avocado salad just add chopped up avocado!
Super easy and yummmy!
Vegan Alfredo
Gluten Free Pasta :
–This one we use is made from green lentils! Amazing!
The Non-Dairy Alfredo Sauce:
- 1/4cup Cashews
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- Salt to taste
- 1/4cup Water
Just blend it all up til creamy. Definitely adjust to your taste. If you want more garlic, or not so thick, and salt to taste.
+Optional: add chicken for non vegans makes the best Chicken Alfredo!
Smoothies
I love smoothies!!! They are a kind of ADJUST TO YUUR OWN TASTE kind of food. So here are my favorites ingredients, and sometimes I have more berries, or less, or more bananas or not…and dates well, definitely sweeten to your liking– so start with less!
As for the liquid, also start with less and adjust if it is too thick. Have fun!
- Coconut milk
- Frozen Bananas
- Berries
- Kale
- Morninga powder
- Spirulina powder
- Dates
- +Optional: Add YL Balance Complete
