Scripture and thoughts by Sarah

My Sister in Spirit, Sarah Benel, shares about her personal growth in Spirit and in Truth! Sarah also shares scripture which has helped her learn  to love and obey our Father.

Sarah has shared on HeavenlyTreasure blog before, read the birth story she shared here.

The Most High’s word has forever changed me within and it shows♡

I’ve gone through many different fazes in this walk as I learn to love and obey TMH (The Most High) everyday. As well as simply allowing Him to love me, believing that it’s possible for me to be considered valuable, the way I am to Him.

Yet something which has always been a challenge for me, is remembering to check my motives, it’s too easy to go astray spiritually and not even be aware of it mentally.

I’ve realized that it’s almost always right after I have begun to pay attention to someone else, either because of an offense or simply by being critical. At that point, my attention is no longer on my personal growth.

Just to be blunt, marriage has pointed out this issue more than anything because it’s hard not to look at your partner in a critical way being that it’s such a close relationship.

It’s just so easy to become distracted, while we are in a very real and tangible world, caring for a spirit within us which we can’t see when we look in the mirror.

Striving to love a Creator and Savior whom we do not see, hear or feel in that same tangible way. I don’t really reach out and share the Word as I used to.

Before, I would always desire to teach but through time and experience I really trust that if my focus is my own heart’s condition and I live by faith then hopefully I’m shining a light that others may see. Living as a testimony of the miracle I am in Christ, by being a wife and mother, which coming from my past that says it all!

Then in the moments I may speak, I will not be ashamed because it’s not hypocritical or judgemental rather it’s honest and loving.

Scripture bible verse Matthew

Here’s some scripture which I would like to share that have helped me learn all I’ve explained above♡

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 5:16 KJV

I the Most High search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Jeremiah 17:10 KJV

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Matthew 7:3 KJV

Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

1 Peter 3:1 KJV

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.

James 1:22‭-‬26 KJV
