Yay DIY Lip Balm!
It just so happened after I asked on our Instagram what you all would like to see more on the blog, that I received some DIY requests! So here’s goes a DIY Lip Balm!
Tried and Tested, Super easy recipe to follow
If you are into oils and making your own goods, you should definitely join a great FB group called YL Make and Take !
I am super freaked out by trying new DIY recipes! It freaks me out to think I will mess up and ruin all the beautiful ingredients!
In order to get a good recipe, tested and voiced for by many people, I checked the YL group to get the best one using the ingredients I had on hand!
DIY LIP BALM
- 2TBS Shea Butter
- 2TBS Coconut Oil
- 2TBS of wax pellets
- 5-10drops Young Living essential oil of choice
-melt the ingredients in a double boiler, the wax and Shea take longer than the coconut oil to melt
-let cool but not harden and add drops of essential oils!
-blend well and place into containers DONE! Best containers to use are glass!
This was super fun for my friends and I to make! We filled 44 goody bags for a friend’s event. So of course we made a bigger batch than this recipe called. Just make sure you keep adding equal parts if you decide to make more.
We only made two flavors. Cinnamon Splash and Citrus Creamsicle– so Cinnamon and Citrus fresh. Be creative and use whatever flavors you would enjoy on your lips, just remember a little oil goes a long way,
